The FOCUS TEAM of Mizoram met Mr. Rohmingthanga Colney , Director of Agriculture(CH) on 6.8.2019 (3.00pm) at his Office, Aizawl and discussed with him and his Officers, about how to begin convergence of CSS of his Department with FOCUS Project. The meeting was attended by Joint Directors and Deputy Directors of the Directorate of Agriculture, and the FOCUS Team led by Mr.R.K.Nithanga, SPD&CEO. The team from FOCUS includes two Dy.Directors and 2 Staff of Support to CSS. The meeting had a warm and fruitful discussion. 

Mr. Rohmingthanga Colney, welcoming the FOCUS Team, stressed the need of discussion with Department Officers at various level for framing Convergence Plan and for better coordination amongst stakeholders. He said that he was impressed and encouraged by the upcoming activities of FOCUS such as Recruitment and deployment of manpower, formal launching of the Project, setting up of PMU and DMUs offices with innitial assets, formation of FIGs, identification of Lead farmers and CAHWs, etc. He also mentioned about his commitment to coordinate with the Project whenever and wherever possible.

The two teams presented their upcoming activities for Convergence and promised to exchange ideas in the line of converging FOCUS Project with CSS so that a consolidated Convergence Plan can be worked out.
