The Hon’ble Minister of Agriculture, Shri C.Lalrinsanga inaugurated  New FOCUS Office in Aizawl on 30^th July, 2019. The Minister also flagged off 16 Motor Cycles and 8 Scooters from FOCUS head Office to the Field functionaries of District Management Units of FOCUS Project Districts. The function was chaired by Mr.Lalhmingthanga, IAS, Commissioner and Secretary to the Government of Mizoram, Agriculture Department, and the Co-Chairman of the Project Implementing Agency (i.e. Society for Climate Resilient Agriculture in Mizoram-SCRAM)

In a brief function held at ZIDCO Building, MINECO, Aizawl,  Mr.Lalrinsanga Congratulated the Society for getting a suitable building for the FOCUS Project Management Unit Office at New Capital Complex, Aizawl where all the Secretariat of Government of Mizoram are clinging together in the area. He emphasized the harmful effect of climate change in Agriculture, and  addressing its recovery is the need of the hour. Talking on the flagged off Motor Cycles, the Minister urged the field functionaries to have best utilisation for official works with proper care and maintenance.

The new Office occupies the first three basements of the ZIDCO Building with 5 Officers’  rooms, 2 Rooms for Finance & Account Section, One room for Managers, One room for 4 Technical officers, One room for 2 Project Assistants, One room for CSS Staff, Kitten, Restaurant and Chokidar Quarters at the ground floor. The new Office is equipped with 12 intercoms, internet connection from NIC.

The function was attended by Mr.H.Lalthlengliana, Chairman, ZIDCO, Members of Agriculture Development Board, Additional Secretary of Agri & Hort, Officials from Agri & allied Departments, Rural Development, State Taxes, Scientists from MIRSAC, Director and Faculties of SAMETI, ZIDCO, etc.,etc. The function was followed by a sensuous lunch.
